KAGE

Patio at Quebec Manor housing co-op. We took up space and had our thing. Our laughter and convo reached other folks, some of who stopped by and we shared. After this party, I got inspired to stop drinking and smoking and strive for clarity during this difficult time. I think I have a good relationship to it all now.

Moses - djembe, Kage - taiko (fan drums), Vivienne - drum holder

Over the gardening season, Moses and Kage made plans to collaborate through their respective drumming traditions. This video captures one of these jams at Sahalli Park. Kage’s drummer friends were most impressed with how Vivienne was able to keep their arms up to hold the fan drums.

Here is the outlaw bunny discovered at Elisabeth Rogers Community Garden one day in 2018, eating away at everything in sight. The grumpiest of gardeners transformed in delight at the site of this little bunny. Around this time, some garden folks were erecting ‘do not steal’ signs aimed at people. This on already stolen land.
